Humanity Above All: A Call for Unity in India
Humanity Above All: A Call for Unity in India
India is a land of countless cultures, languages, and religions. For centuries, this diversity has been our greatest strength. Yet today, rising tensions—especially between Hindu and Muslim communities—force us to confront a painful reality: we are slowly forgetting our humanity.
Above all religions, above all identities, there is humanity. God created human beings—not divisions. Religion was meant to guide us toward goodness, not to turn us against one another. The truth is simple and powerful: God is one, and He created us all. We may call Him by different names, we may pray in different ways, but the creator is the same, and so is His love for every human being.
Every religion in the world teaches peace, compassion, forgiveness, and love. No religion teaches hatred. No religion teaches violence. Hatred is created by humans, not by faith.
Think for a moment about a hospital. When a person is fighting for life and needs blood, no one asks, “Is this blood Hindu or Muslim?” No one checks religion before saving a life. Blood is blood. Its color is the same. Its value is the same. Its purpose is the same—to save a human life.
If in moments of death and survival we do not see religion, then why do we fight in moments of life?
We must remember: we are all human first. Our emotions are the same. Our pain is the same. A mother’s tears do not change with religion. A father’s prayers for his child are identical in every faith. Hunger feels the same. Loss feels the same. Love feels the same.
In India, where people of different religions live side by side, life should not be judged by who believes what, but by how we treat one another. Love, kindness, empathy, and compassion are the values that truly define us as human beings. Festivals of one community should be celebrated by all. The happiness of another should feel like our own joy.
We must teach the younger generation a powerful lesson:
Being human is more important than being religious.
Helping someone in need, standing against injustice, feeding the hungry, protecting the weak—these are the acts that truly please God, no matter what name we use to remember Him.
God created humans. We created religions.
So how can religion become a reason to hate God’s own creation?
Let us rise above hatred, rumors, and divisions. Let us reject those who spread fear in the name of religion. Instead, let humanity become our true identity. Let respect be our language. Let love be our strength.
India has always shown the world that unity is possible in diversity. Once again, let us prove it. Respect every religion. Honor every belief. Live with love and dignity.
Because in the end, religion may differ, but humanity must remain the same.
We are humans first—everything else comes later.
